Hooray for Amanda & Her Alligator!

After my six-year-old read this book aloud to me for the sixth time, I decided it was indeed a fun and funny book.  It’s no Knuffle Bunny, but it does have its own charm. Within 6 1/2 stories, Alligator and Amanda learn what’s surprising and what’s not, what to do when bored and how to make a new friend.  All of these universal stories are fresh through Mo Willem’s expressive characters.  And as my daughter has proven to me (we’re now up to at least thirteen read-alouds in one week), Hooray for Amanda & Her Alligator! stands up to repeated readings.

Watch Mo and friends describe the book and play friendship games to extend the fun.
