Ellie McDoodle: Best Friends Fur-Ever

Animals.  Siblings.  Cartoons.  What more could a kid ask for?  In Ruth McNally Barshaw’s third sketch diary featuring Ellie McDoodle, Ellie has to overcome her fear of presentations, find her neighbour’s bird (that escaped during Ellie’s pet-sitting adventure) and deal with a lively family.

Fun activities are sprinkled throughout the book, such as making an origami penguin or how to draw a llama.  The last half of the book has a flying bird in the top right corner, and when you flip the pages, the bird looks like it’s flying.  Cool!
