If You Want To See A Whale

From the team that gave us And Then It’s Spring comes another delightful book aboutwhale-cover-books-page watching and waiting. At first, it has the circular structure of If You Give A Moose A Muffin; there are a multitude of interruptions when you are waiting to see a whale. Things like a possible pirate ship and small, green inching things distract from the calm sea where the whale waits to show himself.

Written by Julie Fogliano and illustrated by Erin E. SteadIf You Want To See A Whale is a timeless picture book for everyone who waits for something truly special.

  1. In my daughter’s middle school, the librarian was using If You Give a Moose a Muffin for a lesson on cause and effect. Surely you could do the same with If You Want to See A Whale. Picture Books for all ages!
