The Twins’ Blanket

The twins outgrow their favourite blanket that they’ve shared since birth, and they argue. The solution? Repurpose the blanket into something new.

Author and illustrator Hyewon Yum, a twin herself, shows the rivalry amongst twins with fun dialogue such as:  “I’m the big sister”, “Mine first” and “Mine is even more beautiful than yours”.  There is comradery as well and when they stretch across the single bed divide to hold hands at nighttime, the tenderness and comfort between sisters is evident.
