The Scorch Trials

Thomas and the Gladers solved the maze, but now they have to endure the Scorch and find the safe haven WICKED promised.  Minho, Teresa and Newt from The Maze Runner are back for The Scorch Trials, along with new Cranks, Jorge and Brenda.  Whereas the maze was all about solidarity and working together, in the Scorch (an eerie, burnt out section of the world) betrayal and trust are big issues. WICKED controls everything, but is WICKED good?

James Dashner’s second book in this trilogy is a page-turner, keeping me thrilled with scary surprises, stunning technology and enough snippets of memory to keep me eager to read book three.
