A River of Words

The passion for words is evident in this picture book about poet William Carlos Williams who doctored by day and wrote by night.  Beautiful collages with lines of poetry are interspersed throughout the book while full poems inspire on the end papers (just inside the front and back covers).  A River of Words: The Story of William Carlos Williams written by Jen Bryant and illustrated by Melissa Sweet is the type of biography children and parents can read and talk about together.  Additional dates and information are found in the end pages.
