I Am Invited to a Party

Mo Willem’s Elephant & Piggie books are all funny, but there’s a few that stand out from the rest, and I Am Invited to a Party is one of them.  When Piggie gets invited to a party, the party-wise Gerald offers advice that gradually gets more and more absurd.  Interludes of dancing and “Party, Party!” capture the excitement of kids before a party, as well as the doubt of not knowing what to expect.  But rest assured, Gerald really does know about parties, and the last scene is sure to garner out loud laughter.

An easy reader for the earliest readers, I Am Invited to a Party is fun to act out and reread.
