Barnyard Song

What started out as a fun farm animal rhyme quickly reeled me in with its surprise twist. Rhonda Gowler Greene’s animals get sick!  Yes, a bee buzzes in with sneezes and suddenly the tunes around the farmyard change as every animal catches the cold.

This book has a read-again-and-again quality, with great vocabulary and rhymes that enhance the prose.  Fun and fresh, this is a great book for reading aloud, and having kids predict the next line.
